Christine Baranski would love to reprise her role as rich three-time divorcée Tanya Chesham-Leigh in Mamma Mia 3, and she revealed producer Judy Craymer has already come up with the plot.
'I was in London with Judy Craymer at our favorite watering hole, she is planning Mamma Mia 3. She gave me the narrative plotline of how it's going to happen,' the 72-year-old Emmy winner told THR on Tuesday.
'That's all I can say! But, it's not like, "Oh, I wish it could happen!" Judy Craymer makes things happen. She made number two happen, and it was a phenomenal hit. I wouldn't put it past Judy Craymer to get everybody back together.'
Christine added: 'We'll all be on some fabulous Greek or Croatian island having a blast... I hope.'
Craymer told Deadline back in May: 'There is a story there, and I do think Meryl [Streep] should come back — and if the script is right, she would, I think, because she really loved playing Donna. I don't want to over-egg it, but I know there's a trilogy there.'

Phyllida Lloyd's 2008 big-screen adaptation of the 1999 jukebox musical Mamma Mia! amassed $694.6M at the global box office despite dismal reviews and Ol Parker's 2018 sequel (featuring Cher) earned $402.3M at the global box office with better reviews.
Meanwhile, a touring production of Mamma Mia! is currently running in the States and the seventies Swedish pop group's virtual concert residency ABBA Voyage is running at ABBA Arena in London through May 11, 2025.
'Mamma Mia made so many millions of people around the world happy,' Buffalo-born Baranski noted.
'Is it a little dumb, a little campy? That's part of its charm. When I'm in Europe, I can't tell you how many little girls want to be photographed with Tanya. It troubles me a little, that Tanya's their favorite character [laughs]. But, hey, we're always attracted to that kind of snappy, sexy lady.'
The Praise Petey star has been hard at work reprising her role as old-money socialite Agnes van Rhijn in the third season of HBO period drama The Gilded Age.
'Well, she has to cope, doesn't she? She's suddenly not the head of the household, which you can tell from the way season two ended, that this proud haughty lady who was used to being number one is suddenly not that,' Christine told Deadline of her character.
'So that fall from grace and that fall from power, that's always such a delicious thing to play, and the fall of a King is just as exciting as the rise. So it makes for a lot of humor, I think, her having to eat humble pie.'
On July 17, Baranski scored a nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, which air September 15 on ABC.

On Monday, Deadline revealed Bill Camp, Merritt Wever, Leslie Uggams, and Lisagay Hamilton were added to the ensemble of Sonja Warfield and Julian Fellowes' 1880s New York City-set series.
And on July 20, Baranski wrapped her role as Victoria alongside Nicole Kidman in the Swiss Alps-set second season of David E. Kelley's drama Nine Perfect Strangers, which will eventually stream on Hulu.
On the personal front, the grandmother-of-three mothered two daughters - attorney Isabel, 39; and actress Lily, 36 - during her 30-year marriage to husband Matthew Cowles, who passed away in 2014.
