Laid-back resort with a private beach, as well as multiple restaurants & outdoor pools.

We did not stay, we visit through cruise! Clean and very nice! Cab ride from Ms Rose Mary was great. Food inside and outside was 10/10. Not your regular red beans and rice. It was steak bites, risotto ,salad and much more!! Beach area was clean & very peaceful. Troy the bar waiter was VIP the entire beach day bringing drinks.

Just came back from spending 7 days at this resort and really enjoyed the overall experience. The Best part however is the entertainment crew who provides various activities. They definitely deserve a 5 star ⭐ During the day there's Yoga, Water aerobics, Bingo, Volleyball, Dance lessons and Zumba classes. Corn hole and Darts. Something for all ages to participate in. The Crew members are very friendly, talented, funny and entertaining. There's also nightly entertainment and performances by the crew.

People. This resort has a good reputation based on the quality of the people who work here. The location is also quite nice. The amenities are however greatly lacking. The food is nice but not resort quality, the drinks are standard to below standard and the activities are a little limited. The evening shows were entertaining but a lower standard than cruise ships. The cost was acceptable but I would prefer to pay more and get more. I think my favorite thing was the friendly atmosphere that the employees had and it infused everyone making a very nice atmosphere.

I visited for my wedding and will keep this as short and sweet as possible. If you are considering this resort for your destination wedding as a family-friendly, low cost, option then make sure there is absolutely nothing else in your price range before you commit. You can get a nice wedding from them but you will have to plan, micromanage, and drag them kicking and screaming for it to happen. You’ll trade your money for your sanity.I don’t plan to dedicate any more time to this place than necessary so I will get to the necessary details, I am sure to forget some. None positive, I can assure you. The private rooms were falling apart. Our first bathroom had pee on the seat and sand/dirt/soap scum accumulating in the corners. The first night of our wedding trip we stayed in a room without working AC. It ran, loudly, but did not work. The entire room, including the floors and linens, were wet from condensation. Our room was changed the next day to one that thankfully worked. Things were quiet until our guests started to arrive.Almost every guest was either downgraded or put into a room in some level of disrepair (AC not working, hot water not working, ceiling or walls crumbling, ground floor double queen when they paid for ocean view king, etc.) That was a stressful lead up to our wedding, thanks for that Wyndham.I will spare the details of the wedding preparation because they too were handled by the resort and were fumbled disastrously. What I really want potential brides to know is that if it were not for guests of the wedding micromanaging the resort our event would have failed entirely. We provided and traveled with our own decor and faux flowers and friends were encouraged to bring cameras. This saved our event. The few and far between photos you can find online are for a reason, this is low value resort and you’ll get low value service. The last thing I want to say before I get off my soapbox is that this resort is not Bahamian owned, it is Spanish owned. The lack of investment and pride in their resort is apparent when compared to Bahamian resorts, both from corporate and the Spanish corporate employees in the front. If you’ve visited the Bahamas and are looking for a beautiful location with the warm, welcoming, aura the Bahamian people are known for then I suggest finding one where Bahamian people hold leadership roles on staff. Not only was the place a wreck but it was missing the soul we came for.

After reading a lot of reviews, I had to write up on own experience. This resort was great with value in so many areas. The food was very good!! Room had a great ocean view so I recommend you upgrade. Entertainment staff deserves a lot of credit for keeping people engaged and great shows.

The food at the buffet was horrible! The specialty restaurant " when you can get to them" was very good. Having no pepper and the food being cold all the time really sucked. It got a little better when I found the some what working microwave. The worst part is the WATERED down drinks. The wine should not taste like the water " that you shouldn't drink". Then charge you 3 bucks a bottle of water in an all inclusive hotel. I had to get my own drinks, when I already paid for their drinks. Not cool. We asked for another blanket and never got it. The only up side was the view and the beach once you got over the smell of sewage smell. So disappointed for what I paid for.

We had a four night stay at the resort. It was our first time in the Bahamas and our first time at an all-inclusive resort. We loved it! The rooms were clean and spacious, if the pillows were a bit lumpy. The beach was great, the entertainment was pretty good, and the activities were fun. Our favorite parts were the buffet and the bar. Lots of yummy mocktails to try. The food was really good. Lots of variety. The fresh fruit was a highlight. The restaurant fine dining meal was especially delicious. Make your restaurant reservation early as you only get one and they fill up fast. Everyone we spoke to was friendly.

To put it frankly, don't come. It's not worth it. I have 4 family members/friends who won this trip as well and I am telling them all to just eat the money they've paid so far. I've been to 6 all inclusive vacations and have never been more disappointed in a vacation. While the resort itself is not bad, it’s definitely not anything special. On top of that, since we got here it’s been a game of wasting our time until we get frustrated and then I hear basically "I’m sorry" with promises they don’t fulfill. The first room they gave us had a broken lock system so we weren’t even able to enter; then, after going back to the office twice, they offered an upgraded room…it was the exact same layout as the first room was supposed to be so I didn’t get an upgrade after all. Then, on top of that you have to have a room number in order to make reservations at any of the restaurants and when we tried after getting a room it showed for our full 3 night stay - one restaurant had one reservation left. We tried to register for that dinner and when we put our name and room number, it said we weren’t found in the system so we went up to guest services and they couldn’t even find us in the system so we never would have been able to make those reservations before they all were booked anyways. After finally getting access to our room, I called the front desk to speak to a manager and was told they don't have one! What? Who is in charge?

Had a stay at the end of July beginning of August and it was absolutely beautiful. We were a little nervous to go and stay because we had read a lot of the reviews online. So we came into it with very low expectations. But I have to say I have know idea where the reviews are coming from. We had an absolute wonderful time. We could tell that they were slowly remodeling the whole property. Our room was in the part that was not remodeled, But it was still very clean and a nice room. We did not eat at the signature restaurants only the Buffet and we enjoyed every meal there was always something different everyday. The beach and the pool were very clean and relaxing. This ended up being a very incredible trip that exceeded expectations. We just relaxed the whole trip went swimming, laid at the beach lounged in the chairs around the resort and had drinks throughout. We will definitely will be back for this wonderful experience again. Thank you to all the staff and the cats for a wonderful vacation with the family.

I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about this place. I went a few years ago and I had a BLAST. the shows on the beach, the all inclusive food and drinks were amazing. The price fit the resort perfectly! I highly recommend this place, especially if your in your 20s. Had an amazing time. Thank you so much Wyndham!

Do not waste your money on this. Stayed 4 nights here. The first 2 nights there was absolutely no hot water to shower with. Beds are very uncomfortable. The resort lost power multiple times, had to go to bed hot one night. Another couple staying went without power ALL DAY one day and when she complained a male worker laughed and told her if she wants power she needed to upgrade her room, which he said was $1600. The alcohol drinks were very good, but the food was not. There are a couple of restaurants besides the buffet, which are very hard to get a reservation with, and the portions are very small. The beach was pretty, but there’s only a certain spot you’re allowed to get in the water, which was full of big rocks. The resort also played loud music until 2am that you could hear very well in your room, so bring ear plugs.

I'll start with my critique. They advertised "yoga classes" and as a big yogi, I was excited to maybe have a few classes throughout the day to choose from- but really it's a 30-minute stretch break pool-side, with everyone watching. The same was true for "dance lessons," which I was hoping would be something my girlfriend and I could do together. This, too, was a hip/hop 30-minute session pool-side. Both were really disappointing. They have these palm tress planted by the beach, which is very pretty, but offers very little shade. More covered options would've been nice, given the intense 90 degree days. The rooms are a little dated, but not awful, and the walls are thin- we could easily hear people talking in the room next to us.Also, they advertise having three restaurants on site, but if you're only staying five days you can reserve once, and for seven nights you can reserve three times. And the food we had was not very good.Yet, the buffet food was high quality and they had a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as high quality meat. The staff was really solid overall (gotta be hard, dealing with tourists all day). The place is beautiful and overall we had a wonderful experience. We would absolutely return.

This was my 3rd year in a row visiting Viva. I always tell people I may not always like my room, but everything else makes up for it. The room has beds, a balcony, a closet, and a bathroom. Everything else you need is down near the bar. Bring your own cup to fill your water at any of the water stations. There is all kinds of water fun for free, there is a hut on the beach with paddleboards, kayaks, and more. There are 3 restaurants that are open on different days and you have to have a reservation. I prefer the restaurants to the buffet for dinner. They have fun games around the pool during the day. Never miss the live show at 9:30pm. The crew work so hard to entertain us, and they do an amazing job. New for me this year, they did Lion King, and they did an amazing job! After the show everyone ends up at the bar, then around 11:30 the disco opens up for more fun.

Our first trip to Bahamas and we loved it!The majority of the staff is extremely friendly. Beach is amazing, food & drinks are good. The highlight of our stay was the entertainment, such talent!A few things to take note of in the rooms, well at least our room….The beds, pillows & linens are dated, beds are hard as a rock. Bathrooms have been redone with glass enclosures but that doesn’t prevent it from leaking on floor. Our toilet wasn’t properly attached & wobbled😳Had to have our room key replaced or rekeyed numerous times, only decaf coffee provided in room, shower was cold!! After a couple days & trips to front desk we finally caught up with maintenance, they got it to a point we could shower without freezing. Lastly we were in an adjoining room, although the door between us was closed & locked, we could hear almost everything in the next room. At least the a/c worked well!!Would we return?Maybe, we didn’t spend much time in our room & we really enjoyed the resort, the beach & staff.

Outstanding resort. The food and drinks were so good and all-inclusive (no hidden twists or fees). There's free live shows and performances every night on location. The location is absolutely beautiful and beside the ocean, the pool area has fun activities going on pretty much throughout the whole day, the employees are very friendly. My wife and I were there for a whole week and didn't have a single bad experience with anyone... The only thing I'd say, just so management knows for the future, the pool area, especially like by the couches by the pool, there were bees all over the place and we weren't able to hangout there for very long before it became a bit of a bother.... Other than that, perfection.

We didn't even stay past the first lunch, which was disgusting. The cheapest foods possible. Loose ground beef, chicken thighs, steam trays of cheap pasta, tons of starches and sugars, few fresh vegetables, and a non-existent salad bar. If you like paying "all-inclusive" prices to be stuck eating garbage all week, have fun. No good for diabetics or anyone who needs to eat healthy. And when we canceled our stay after seeing the junk we were supposed to eat all week, they refused to refund a dime. We went elsewhere, and when we visited a different beach nearby, you could hear obnoxiously loud music thumping from this hotel's beach. This is not a tropical paradise for a relaxing vacation. Don't believe the website or photos. Plus, it's a timeshare resort that's going to try to sell you. AVOID at all costs.

This is our second visit during the school holidays, and frankly, I'm puzzled by the negative reviews. It seems like we might not be talking about the same resort. Firstly, let's set the record straight: this isn't a luxury resort, and we didn't expect five-star treatment nor did we pay for it. Some guests seem to expect champagne on a beer budget. Sure, the rooms are a bit dated, but they're clean and functional, perfectly aligned with what you'd expect for the price. The beach and location are top-notch. The pool and entertainment options are fantastic, especially for kids who absolutely loved it—though I must admit the kids club was better last year. Safety-wise, the layout of the resort is straightforward, which is great for families; you can let your kids roam without worry. Plus, there are plenty of activities like catamaran rides, kayaking, tennis, trapeze and archery—all included. The food is decent, nothing gourmet, but hey, there's a variety to choose from—fish, beef, chicken, pastas, fruit, vegies, deserts, ice cream. Plus, you can grab snacks and drinks at the beach bar throughout the day. The staff is lovely and polite, and I encountered no issues during my stay. Yes, there might be a bit of a wait at the bar sometimes, but nothing unreasonable.Overall, my family and everyone I've spoken to had a great time, and many are planning to return. I want to extend my gratitude to the management and staff for making our vacation enjoyable and relaxing. We'll definitely consider coming back again.

We stayed at the resort on June 25th through 29th. This was a great experience the resort was great and the staff was amazing they were so friendly personable engaging if you run across Malik he what's taking pictures every day he was very persistent an engaging but all at the same time nice and friendly but had a determined Spirit eventually he got me to take some pictures. And I love them he has so many different poses. They did have a lot to offer on the resort like snorkeling you can rent out snorkeling gear at the little Hut on the beach I didn't discover that until the last day before I left so definitely check it out it was amazing fish out in the water. The water was clear overall I really did enjoy the resort the food could have been a little better and offered more options than just local type of food I think it could have offered a better variety. The buffet area was open where flies and things can come in which is one thing I did not like I felt like it could have had air conditioning in there and close the doors for sanitary purposes outside of that everything at the resort was great. Are room air conditioner was super cold the rooms were good. Also there's a spot on the beach that has a place for handicapped down a walkway so it's easy accessible for them and I thought that was great for my mother because she uses a walker.

This was a surprise birthday trip from my husband. In my opinion, the resort is 3, possibly 2.5 star resort. When we arrived on Day 1 of 5, the first day, the café food wasn't good. The servers mainly served the VIP members. As the trip progressed, the food was better. I must say if you flagged a staff member down for the most part, they were friendly and helpful, but they don't approach you to see if you need anything. Our room had mold in the ceiling, and the dry wall was falling down. The room smelled moldy. We didn't have hot water. We reported the hot water at least 4 times and were told they'd send someone to fix it, but no resolve.Since this is the only ALL-INCLUSIVE resort on the island with unlimited drinks and food, it is the only reason I give this 2.5 or 3 stars.I would not recommend purchasing their expensive vacation packages (over $5k for 1 week stay). You'll be offered to upgrade to a VIP room that resembles the regular rooms and allow you to sit at dining tables with white table clothes and napkins in a small section of the Café.I enjoyed the beautiful beach view from the balcony. If you are looking for a low-budget vacation location to sleep and say you've visited the Bahamas, then this is definitely your option.Check-in and bartenders staff were friendly.

Just got back from a one week vacation and we loved it. There was 7 in our group and they managed to get our rooms side by side with ocean view. It was my birthday and they had a cake served to our table and all the staff sang happy birthday. The nightly entertainment was fantastic and they sure knew how to get the crowd going. We enjoyed the bingo and darts during the day at the pool, and my hubby even won a gift. Our room was clean and our maid was incredible and super friendly. All the staff on the resort were extremely helpful and friendly, and made us feel like family. The food was really good, both in the buffet and the Ala carte. Last put not least, the ocean was amazing with a long long beach. We can’t wait to come back!!! Thank you to the staff for making our first trip to Bahamas a trip to remember. Much love Darlene & Leonard

Great location. Food was good but wish they had more local food and fruits there. Didn't get my room decorated for my birthday and I asked way before arrival and had to tell and ask again upon arrival and got nothing but 3 bottles of champagne that I didn't drink not a fan of it. Also our water wasn't hot. Our room was peeling and roof in our room look like it wanted to cave in. There was bugs in our room Staff was nice and helpful wish I could've done more on the resort. I miss it

The location of this resort is great. Beautiful beach, water, pool and pool view. The service there is great too. The people are very nice and they clearly work hard to make your experience a good one. The facility, rooms, and food are lackluster though. The building clearly hasn’t been updated in a very long time. The rooms… the beds are hard and noisy, there are bug issues in the rooms, my shower looked dirty and had ants crawling all over it. There was damage to the walls that was never fixed, the blankets/comforters were stiff/scratchy/old, the sheets all had stains on them and, the curtains were dirty/stained and gross to touch. The crib/pack n play that I was given for my baby was filled with sand (never cleaned) too. The food was ok. There were barely any options and the same food was served day in and day out, with no variation. There was no decaf coffee anywhere, except for one packet in the room, and there were very few options for alcohol (I don’t even drink there) unless you were a member or VIP (time share owner). This hotel was affordable though… I feel like you get what you pay for though. This was very surprising and because of the Wyndham name, we were really expecting a better product. I don’t know if I would ever go back… if I did, it would never be for a week like we did this time though.

Such a fun all inclusive place. Good food and amazing staff. There is a scuba dive shop at the resort that is phenomenal. My wife was a little nervous diving and they were very calm and helpful. They made the dives perfect. The shark dive was sooooo much fun

Bryan T — Google review

It was an okay visit. The spa was extra even though I paid for an all inclusive ticket, which really only included food and drinks. The food was okay, nothing special. The bar was great. Nothing much to do except for play in the beach water or in a few of their small pools, the other vacationers were not abiding by the rules, so there were people inside the building with no shoes on and no shirts on. There are also unsupervised children in the hot tub which made it hard to enjoy. I will not be visiting this resort again. The staff, however, was very kind and professional. I had lunch with staff from water sports, Rex, Jason and Jadyn, very kind respectful and professional young men.
